An entirely new movie theater experience is coming this weekend at the Celebration Cinema in Benton Harbor. General Manager Dan Rimpel says they will start showing movies using the D-BOX system in one theater, which will move your seat in conjunction with what's on the screen in front of you.
The new technology will be used starting on Friday with showings of "Oz the Great and Powerful" and "Olympus Has Fallen." Next week, the latest "GI Joe" movie will also be included. Rimpel says the movie will cost you a bit more.
D-BOX is already in use at Celebration Cinema theaters in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Muskegon, Mt. Pleasant and Portage. It won't be used yet with 3D movies locally, but Rimpel says that is happening in some theaters around the country.
