The Berrien County Sheriffs Department says that a man was ticketed on Sunday after he crashed his car into a train in New Buffalo Township. Around ten in the morning, deputies say that the driver of a small sedan failed to yield to the right of way at a train crossing on Wilson Road near Kulver Road. The Amtrak train was southbound on its way to Chicago when it was struck by the car. The driver -- whose name has not been released -- suffered minor injuries, and was taken to Saint Anthony's's Hospital in Michigan City. He was cited for failing to yield and for driving on a suspended license. There were no reports of injuries on the train.
