CERT Classes Are Coming To Berrien County

A disaster preparedness class is coming to Berrien County. Sheriff Paul Bailey reports the Community Emergency Response Team Program, or CERT, will begin Thursday, January 30 at the Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Public Safety Building. When an emergency occurs, CERT members can apply their training learned to give critical support to family, friends and associates until help arrives. The Berrien County Office of Emergency Management gives the recent Polar Vortex as an example of how the training could be beneficial. Register by calling Gayle Bassett at 269-983-7111 ext. 4915.
