Buchanan Drug Bust Involves 16 Marijuana Plants

Over a dozen marijuana plants and several grams of cocaine are being seized from a house in Buchanan. Officials searched the residence of 806 Victory Street Thursday afternoon where 35-year old Jamal Aleem Cashier had 16 pot plants, one-pound of processed marijuana and seven-grams of crack cocaine. Officers also seized a 2001 Lincoln Navigator with a video surveillance camera system. Cashier was arrested and faces Manufacturing Marijuana, Maintaining a Drug House and two Possession with Intent to Deliver charges.
