The Van Buren County Sheriff's Department says a Bloomingdale man has died after hitting a deer on his motorcycle earlier this week. 52-year-old Thomas Parsley passed away today at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. He hit the deer Monday afternoon, and was thrown from the bike as a result of the crash. Police say Parsley was wearing a helmet at the time, but was unresponsive when paramedics and first responders arrived on the scene. They were called to the scene by another driver who saw him laying in the road on 6th Avenue near 23rd Street. A statement from the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department did not indicate what injuries are believed to have caused Parsley's death.
