White smoke billowed from the Vatican Wednesday evening in Rome, and shortly thereafter, the world's Catholics were introduced to Pope Francis I. The Most Reverend Bishop Paul Bradley heads up the Diocese of Kalamazoo, which includes Berrien County, and talked to WSJM News about what he his hopeful for with a new Holy Father.
Pope Benedict retired earlier this year. Pope Francis I is the first ever selected from the Western Hemisphere, having served as the Archbishop of Buenos Aires in his native Argentina before stepping down from that post due to age.
