Children around Berrien County who’d like to spend a couple of days with some sheriffs deputies this summer will have a chance to do so, thanks to the sheriffs department’s annual Kids Camp. The camp, aimed at fourth and fifth graders, will be held June 18th and 19th at the Berrien County Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs, running from eight AM to four PM both days. It’ll start off with some team building exercises, and then get into some safety programs run by local police, paramedics, and firefighters. Plus, they’ll have an obstacle course and kickball. The kids who take part will also get a camp t-shirt and lunch. The cost for enrollment is 30 dollars, with 25 dollars for additional siblings, and you can get applications at BCSheriff.org . The department is accepting them now.
