Benton Harbor Salvation Army Officer to Lead Typhoon Relief Effort

Following the destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan, Benton Harbor Corps Commander of the Salvation Army, Major Mike Mckee, has been tapped to lead relief and response efforts in the Philippines. Mckee says agriculture has been destroyed throughout the region.

Typhoon Haiyan made landfall in the central Philippines on November 8, ripping through the islands creating widespread destruction and death. Mckee departs this Thursday and returns in early March. If you want to help with relief efforts, Mckee suggests making a monetary donation through his offices in Benton Harbor, labeling it Philippines Relief Effort.
