A new bed and breakfast will soon be opening up in St. Joseph. The city commission Monday night approved the plans for the Painted Turtle Inn in the 32-hundred block of Lakeshore Drive. Owner Christine Shull said she's had a dream for over a decade to open up an inn.
The exterior of the home will remain relatively the same, and Christine and Joel Shull say they will re-do the landscaping. The business will have five parking spots, while a three-car garage will be used the innkeepers. The name comes from the painted turtle being the Michigan state reptile.
