Baroda Marijuana Grow Operation



After a five-month investigation, authorities are seeking charges against a Baroda man for conducting a marijuana grow operation. Thursday afternoon, the Baroda-Lake Police Department with the help of the Berrien County Sheriff Department Narcotics Unit found 20-live marijuana plants, seeds and drug manufacturing equipment at a residence in the 9800 block of 2nd Street in Baroda. A 30-year old male lives at the residence with a female and their two children. Under state law, officers seized an assortment of guns, including one-assault rifle. Charges on the man will be sought for possessing and manufacturing marijuana, felony firearm and maintaining a drug house.
