BHAS Forced To Hold All Voting Until Next Week



The decision to bring 3-additional reserve police officers into Benton Harbor schools for needed security is being put on hold for another week. The school board did not have a quorum Tuesday, board members Lisa Gulley, Joseph Taylor and Sharon James were absent. Rather than bring in more security guards the district would save over $150,000 in hiring the officers. Superintendent Dr. Leonard Seawood.

The district already has 4-reserve officers on its security team. A special board meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. to hold a vote on that and other proposals.
