There are no reports of injury, but there is extensive damage at the River Terrace Apartments in Benton Harbor after a fire on the 6th floor Thursday night. Benton Harbor Public Safety Captain Dan McGinnis says arson may be the cause of the fire.
Fire was contained to just two units, others received smoke damage. McGinnis says water damage from the sprinkler system may have equaled that of the fire.
Breeze Ettl with the Red Cross says they were called and prepared to shelter up to 100-people. She says only three needed assistance for overnight shelter.
The building was briefly evacuated, and about an hour after the fire started, residents were back inside, congregating in the first floor lobby.
