Amy Scott Disagrees With Niles Community Schools Calling For Her Dismissal

Amy Scott disagrees with Niles Community Schools to disclose information in the charges relating to her personal life. Interim Superintendent Dr. Michael Lindley is calling for the curriculum and instruction director to be fired after she admitted, during an unrelated investigation, to an affair with a male coworker. Scott has denied under oath any of the allegations occurred on school property or during school time. Scott was suspended with pay earlier this month as the Michigan Tenure Commission looks into the complaints against her. In a release, Scott denies betraying the public trust and misusing her work time for personal interests. The other employee involved in the affair admitted the pair deleted videos, photos and text messages that would implicate them after they were told not to interfere, and they also would talk to get their story straight. Scott is married to a teacher in the district.
