Two men will be arraigned Wednesday afternoon after police say they drove drunk and struck a Stevensville bicyclist. Lincoln Township Police Chief Dan Sullivan says 18-year-old Katherine Andert was riding her bike in the 5700 block of Echo Ridge Road, when a car driven by 22-year-old Rodrigo Lopez came around a curve.

Two witnesses Keith & Diane Wegner followed the fleeing driver and his passenger 23-year-old Rodrigo Ramirez, watched them switch seats and took down their license plate. Sullivan says that helped the department's investigation.

Bridgman State Police troopers pulled over the suspects on I-94 Eastbound near Napier Avenue. Medic One transported Andert to Lakeland Hospital for serious, non-life threatening injuries. Rodrigo is facing multiple charges, including Operating While Intoxicated- Causing Serious Injury and Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Crash. Ramirez is also charged with Operating While Intoxicated. Both men had blood alcohol contents over twice the legal limit.
