Baroda-Lake Township Police are investigating a deadly crash on I-94 Wednesday night that shut down the westbound lanes for about 5 hours. Just before 7:30, an eastbound semi went off the road, through the cable barrier, and crashed into a westbound semi. That truck then hit a Mercedes-Benz SUV. All three vehicles caught on fire, and the Illinois man driving the SUV was killed at the scene. Both semi drivers are at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph, and no names have yet been released. The eastbound truck that caused the crash was driven by a 63-year-old man from Wisconsin, while the westbound semi was driven by a 50-year-old from Illinois.
