South Haven City Council has given their approval to a music festival called Rhythm on the River to be held this July at Riverfront Park. Spokesman Ben Holt from Foundry Hall spoke with WSJM News about what’s planned.

“This summer, with Rhythm on the River, July 20 and 21, it’s going to be a two-day music festival, and it’s going to be from 5 to 10 p.m. each might down at the riverfront,” Holt said. “We’re ending the music at 10, and the beer garden will stay open to 11.”

The city council approved four other events: the We Care Island Sit on February 24th, South Haven Steelheaders Fishing Tournament in May, South Haven Art Fair in June, and the National Blueberry Festival in August. Council members last night raved about the success of this past weekend’s Ice Breaker Festival.
