If you’re in the market for a new home appliance, Whirlpool has something going on this weekend that may interest you. Saturday will bring the annual Whirlpool Appliance Summer Sale in Benton Harbor. The company’s Gokul Nair tells WSJM News they’ll be selling a large number of brand new, yet slightly out-of-date items.

“We are looking at about 220 to 230 major appliances, and over 1,000 Kitchenaid small items,” Nair said.

You’ll be able to buy these appliances for deeply-discounted amounts. Whirlpool holds the sale each summer to raise money for the United Way. Nair told us, last year, they raised nearly $70,000. The sale will be held at 1800 Paw Paw Avenue in Benton Harbor from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. They’ll do it again on Sunday if the Saturday sale doesn’t sell out.
