The South Haven Community Foundation is now taking applications for its next round of grants. The foundation’s Jim Marcoux tells WSJM News the foundation has about $20,000 to give out to community groups this time around.

“Our primary focus is with 501(c)(3) groups in our community,” Marcoux said. “People like the Al-Van Humane Society, the Maritime Museum, We Care. We have a lot of organizations in town that do a lot of good in the community.”

Marcoux says they want to support groups that work in the areas of education, the arts, recreation, information, and community health. Last year, the South Haven Community Foundation gave out about $30,000, and it’s awarded more than $250,000 since 1996. To submit an application, go to SouthHavenCF.org. Click the “Grants” tab.
