A Dowagiac man accused of holding another man captive for several days last weekend has been arraigned in Cass County. The sheriff’s department tells WSJM News 21-year-old Ryan Allen McCuddy faces a variety of charges that include kidnapping, extortion, and unlawful imprisonment, as well as a slew of drug and weapons charges. He’s accused of holding his victim at gunpoint in a dispute over money. The victim was eventually able to get away and call police, and McCuddy was arrested Thursday. At arraignment Friday, his bond was set at $300,000. McCuddy remains in the Cass County Jail.
