More Snow On The Way

Just because the winter storm is over doesn’t mean there won’t be continuing snow. WNDU Meteorologist David Harker tells WSJM News we’ll see it snowing for several more days due to a series of systems moving into the region from the plains states.

“Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,” Harker said. “Chances of snow showers. This time around, it’s system snow, and it’s heavy system snow. Some of the models are indicating just late Saturday through the middle of next week alone of over a foot of snow.”

Harker says the snow was falling at a rate of about an inch per hour in some places at the peak of the winter storm. Most of the biggest action was in Van Buren and Cass counties, while parts of Berrien were largely spared. The reason why temperatures haven’t been too low is Lake Michigan, where the water is still relatively warm.
