Work On Railroad Crossing Next Week In Bridgman

bridgman-2

Traffic in Bridgman will be affected next week by some work being done at a railroad crossing. CSX is reconstructing its crossing at Lake Street near the downtown area starting on Monday. That will mean detours for three to five days, says City Manager Juan Ganum. He says there have long been complaints about the state of the railroad crossing, with timbers and bolts popping up, causing many drivers to get creative when trying to make their way across it. Ganum says, hopefully, the work next week will solve the problem. Traffic will be detoured on to Church Street and Red Arrow Highway. Although the work will cause a bit of a headache, Ganum says the city is encouraged that it’s being done, and eager to see it completed.
