The man killed in a nearly head-on crash in Oronoko Township on Monday was 38-year-old Jason Morse of Hickory Corners. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says the driver of the Chevy Avalanche that crossed the median and hit Morse’s van is 28-year-old Joseph Jeffrey of Indiana. He was treated and released from Lakeland Hospital following the crash. Investigators haven’t said yet what caused him to go through the median and slam into the van on US 31 near M-139 just before 2 p.m. Monday, but weather is being ruled out as a factor. The investigation continues.
