More than 7,600 Berrien County customers of Indiana Michigan Power are without electricity following storms on Monday afternoon. Most of them are in the southern half of the county. Reports are coming in of trees knocked over from Baroda to Buchanan, leading to some road closures, as well. I&M says it expects the outage total to rise as storms continue. It doesn’t yet have any estimate regarding when power will be restored. Crews have been dispatched to the affected areas and are evaluating the situation. Customers can get text and email alerts, as well as up-to-date information on their individual outage, by signing up for I&M on the Go Mobile Alerts at IndianaMichiganPower.com.
