Michigan State Police say a Grand Junction man is facing 12 charges following a standoff in Van Buren County this week. 41-year-old Jason Kohlhoff kept police at bay for several hours Tuesday after he allegedly fired a shot into the ground following a conversation with a state police detective. He finally surrendered early Wednesday, and a police say a search of his house turned up 12 guns, along with numerous rounds of ammunition. The Van Buren County Prosecutor’s office has charged Kohlhoff with six counts of assault with intent to murder, and six counts of felony firearm. State police say the investigation is ongoing regarding narcotics also found in the home. He remains in the Van Buren County Jail.
