The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is investigating after a body was found in Union Park Monday. The woman, who has been identified as Andrea Palmisano, was found unresponsive about noon, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The family has been notified, and police say the cause of death is unknown at this time. Police say there were some controlled substances found with Palmisano. The Berrien County Medical Examiner’s office is investigating the cause of death. Benton Harbor Public Safety was assisted at the scene by the Benton Township Police Department and Medic One.
