Two Elkhart, Indiana men have been arraigned for their role in a shooting incident at Silver Beach in St. Joseph Monday night. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says Velver Robinson and Deontae Harris were picked up shortly after reports came in about shots fired near the restroom facilities at the beach. Police say Robinson was responsible for the firing of the gun about 15 times shortly before 9 p.m. Police also say Harris was arrested when two additional handguns were found in his vehicle. Robinson has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, concealed weapon violation, and felon in possession of a firearm. Harris is charged with two counts of carrying a concealed weapon. Police say they’ve gotten partial confessions out of both suspects. They were arraigned Tuesday, and remain in the Berrien County Jail.
