It’s almost time for BBQ, Blues and Bluegrass: A Taste of Michigan in downtown St. Joseph. The 4th annual event is set for Saturday below the bluff at Whirlpool Centennial Park. St. Joseph Today’s Whitney Behnke says the headliner will be the Nick Moss Blues Band, featuring Coco Montoya and Tinsley Ellis. That’s after the original headliner dropped out.

“We had Jonny Lang originally slated, but unfortunately, he had to cancel on us due to some complications and his wife’s pregnancy,” Behnke told WSJM. “So,we were able to get this all-star blues group together.”

It’s too late for disappointed Johnny Lang fans to get refunds. Also featured at BBQ, Blues, and Bluegrass will be barbecue eats from eight local restaurants, as well as drinks. You can get tickets in advance of Saturday’s event at TheMendelCenter.com, or at the St. Joe Welcome Center. They’re $15 in advance, and $20 the day of the festivities. Behnke says the event is expected to sell out.
