Lakeshore Schools To Hold Open House

An open house is planned for next week so officials at Lakeshore Schools can show to the public what the district has been able to do with 36 million dollars in bond funding approved by voters in 2013. Superintendent Phil Freeman says a variety of work has been completed at the middle and high schools, with just few things left to finish. However, he’s excited to take the public through right now.

“This is our opportunity to show off that we have accomplished what we set out to accomplish with the money that they were so gracious with,” Freeman told WSJM.

The open house starts at 6:30 pm next Wednesday, and will run through 7:30. Freeman says you can go and wander around to see the work, or you can take a guided tour. As part of the event, Lakeshore Schools will also unveil the district’s next tagline and logo. Freeman is keeping the logo secret for now, but tells us the tagline is, “Grounded in Tradition. Committed to Excellence.”
