Michael Sepic Seeking Re-Election

Berrien County Prosecutor Michael Sepic is seeking re-election. Sepic’s been prosecutor since July of 2013, when he was appointed to the position by the county circuit court judges, succeeding Arthur Cotter, who stepped down to become a judge. Sepic was then elected prosecutor in 2014 for the remaining two years of Cotter’s term. Now, he says he wants to run for the term beginning in January of 2017. As prosecutor, Sepic has a staff of 18 attorneys, who handle cases in Berrien County’s three trial courts. He’s been a practicing attorney in the county since 1998, and previously served as the chief assistant prosecutor. Sepic’s a graduate of Michigan State University and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and has also taught at Lake Michigan College, Western Michigan University, and Cooley Law School. He lives in Benton Harbor with his wife, Joann.
