33rd Annual Wedding World Saturday

If you’ve got a wedding coming up this year, you’ll want to head to Lake Michigan College’s Mendel Center on Saturday. The 33rd annual Wedding World bridal show presented by Mid-West Family Broadcasting will run from noon to 4 p.m. in the Grand Upton Hall. Admission is free to all brides who register online at myweddingworld.com, in person at the radio station studios at 580 East Napier in Benton Harbor or at the door Saturday.

MWFB promotions director Lindsay Kay says 220 brides have already registered, and she’s expecting as many as 300 brides and as many as 2,000 guests. She says there new additions to the show this year, including a cash bar and a Michael Kors designer handbag will be given away once an hour. “The first 100 people in line at 11:30 a.m., including the guests of brides-to-be, will be allowed early entry into the expo,” she says. “They will also be given a chocolate wedding favor courtesy of the Chocolate Cafe and a glass of champagne!”

Another change is the Fashion Shows at 1 and 3 p.m. have been moved into the Grand Upton Hall for a more runway-inspired show to show off the 2016 trends. 59 vendors will be on hand, and a honeymoon cruise will be given away by Caryl Olson at Cruise Planners/Advantage Travel.
