South Haven Health System is seeking a healthcare partner to help it better serve patients. The SHHS Board of Trustees has voted unanimously to do so as it starts a dialogue about the future of the hospital and how it can continue to serve the community. Board members say they recognize the trend of small, independent hospitals partnering with larger healthcare entities, so they’re looking for an organization that will put the patient first. The goal is to ensure the long-term viability of the system with the support of a partner. SHHS has now begun the search, and says it will keep patients in the loop as things move forward.
