Lakeshore Public Schools, LECO, Blue Roof Church and redtie Concierge are teaming up for the latest local effort to collect water to help Flint residents. Lakeshore Schools will accept donated cases of water through 3 p.m. Friday at the high school, and the Blue Roof Church on Niles Road will collect water during business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, tomorrow and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and through 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tax-deductible monetary donations can also be made to Blue Roof Church for the water drive. The goal is to send two full truckloads of water to Flint. Several area school districts, including Berrien Springs, Bridgman, and St. Joseph, have all collected water so far.
