Van Buren United Way Offering Free Tax Preparation

vanburenunitedway

Once again, the Van Buren County United Way is helping southwest Michigan residents prepare their taxes this year. The organization’s Vera Tanier-Sebree says they’ve got IRS-certified tax preparers on the ready to do taxes for those who earned less than 54 thousand dollars in the past year and don’t own a business. A lot of residents take advantage of the service each year.

“We had over two thousand people get their taxes done free last year,” Tanier-Sebree told WSJM. “We are second only to Wayne County in Michigan as far the number per population, so it’s a pretty big deal.”

The tax preparers will have sessions at various times between February and April in Covert, Paw Paw, and Hartford. You can find out more by calling the Van Buren United Way.
