An attempt at a world record will be made next Wednesday at Andrews University. As part of the first ever Health & Wellness Fest, students and others are going to try to break the record for the most people in one place doing sit ups together for one straight minute. Andrews Health and Wellness Director Dominique Wakefield says they’re trying to involve the whole community.

“We’re working with our campus entities right now to make arrangements for people to come,” Wakefield told WSJM. “We have lots of advertising going on in print, electronically, social media. We working with local schools.”

To beat the record, set last year in Britain, they’ll need to get 510 people doing a minute of unassisted sit ups. Wakefield says they picked this particular record because it’s attainable and health-related. The attempt will be made next Wednesday at 3:15 at the Andrews University gymnasium.
