Needy families in southwest Michigan are getting a boost this week with the 19th annual 97-5 Y-Country “Stuff-A-Truck” food drive at Roger’s Foodland. The non-perishable items donated go to Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency, where Yvonne Vidt is the community services manager.

She says everyone who goes to the food pantry receives a box of canned food products and one frozen food product. The frozen foods are purchased with money raised during “Stuff-A-Truck.”

Donations will be accepted through Saturday whenever Roger’s is open through Saturday. Y-Country is also broadcasting live all day through Friday and again on Saturday morning to encourage people to donate.
