A Benton Harbor man charged in the murder last month of a 17 year old in Benton Township is scheduled to face trial. 18 year old Daquantaries Williams was in a Berrien County courtroom on Thursday for a preliminary exam, and he was bound over for trial, set for March eighth. The office of the Berrien County Prosecutor tells us that Williams faces charges of first degree murder, felony firearm, and being a felon in possession of a gun in the October 25th shooting death of Karlos Kelly. According to prosecutors, Williams is accused of driving the car the three suspects got away in after Kelly was gunned down in the street by 18 year old Anthony Walker, also of Benton Harbor. The third suspect charged in Kelly’s death, 18 year old Seddrick Williams, pleaded guilty this week to a charge of voluntary manslaughter. Anthony Walker is due to be in court for a preliminary exam next week.
