For the first time in school history, the Benton Harbor Tigers’ football season will continue past week 9. Benton Harbor secured their first MHSAA playoff berth with a 5-4 record, and the Tigers will host Dowagiac in the first round at Benton Harbor’s Filstrup Field Friday at 7 pm. St. Joseph, fresh after winning a share of the SMAC West Division championship last Friday, will host the Sturgis Trojans in the playoff opener. The game will be Friday night at 7 pm. The Lakeshore Lancers playoff run will start in Edwardsburg Friday at 7. Lakeshore is making their 18th straight appearance in the playoffs. The MHSAA’s playoff pairings are online at mhsaa.com.
