Two more sentencings for crimes arising out of the 2012 bankruptcy of a Decatur farm were held on Wednesday. The US Attorney’s office says that Andrew and Robert Trowbridge, of South Haven, helped to hide assets of Stamp Farms from the bankruptcy trustee. They have been sentenced to one year of probation, a ten thousand dollar fine each, and 20 hours of community service. Authorities say that the Trowbridge Brothers hid a 100 thousand dollar tractor from the trustee, and Robert Trowbridge also made a fraudulent claim for crop insurance. The tractor has since been returned and so has the money. Both brothers told the judge that they were asked by Michael Stamp to hide the assets. So far, five Stamp Farms employees have been sentenced for crimes committed on behalf of the operation.
