Gun control advocates want to see gun laws changed following last weeks mass shooting in Oregon. The Michigan Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence is calling on citizens to contact their legislators and urge them to support bills to require universal background checks and to keep guns out of schools. State House Democrat Andy Schor, who sponsoring a bill to end open-carry in Michigan schools, says for three years the Republican-led legislature has held his bill in a committee without a hearing.
