Those who are planning to hit the road for Labor Day weekend will get a bit of a break from the Michigan Department of Transportation. Spokesperson Nick Schirripa says that MDOT will stop doing road construction for the weekend so people can get around easier.

There are, of course, some roads that can’t be reopened, the biggest in Berrien County being M-139 in Niles at the Main Street bridge.
