Congressman Fred Upton next week will join several members of Michigan’s congressional delegation to tour the state’s military installations. Joining him on the tour will be Senator Debbie Stabenow, and Representatives Sander Levin, Candice Miller, Dan Benishek, Bill Huizenga, and Deborah Dingell. Between Wednesday and Thursday, they’ll travel to Selfridge Air National Guard Base, the Detroit Arsenal, Camp Grayling, the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, the Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, and Fort Custer’s Training Center. The reason for the trip is so the legislators can all get a better understanding of Michigan’s defense assets, and to find new ways of utilizing them to create jobs. Governor Rick Snyder will also join the delegation for the second day of the tour.
