One person is dead in a plane crash at the W.K. Kellogg Airport in Battle Creek involving an aircraft registered in Berrien Springs. The victim has been identified as 48-year-old William Carlson Pergerson II. Although Battle Creek Police have said he is from Berrien Springs, we have not been able to confirm that and research by WSJM News indicates he may be from Wisconsin. The crash happened at 8:20 p.m. Thursday.
