Michiana Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of whoever broke into Buchanan Middle School this month and stole thousands of dollars worth of ventilation and water system components. On Saturday, August 15th, the thieves broke into the school, and did approximately 40 thousand dollars worth of damage to the building, causing Buchanan Schools to delay the start of classes this year by a week. While insurance is paying for the damages, crews have to work at a quick pace to even get the building ready by September 14th. Crime Stoppers says that anyone who helps in the identification and arrest of the suspects will be eligible for a one thousand dollars reward. The number to call is 800-342-STOP .
