Michigan's Gas Prices Falling

Gas prices in Michigan are falling after a spike two weeks ago due to problems at BP’s refinery in Whiting, Indiana. The latest survey from Triple-A Michigan shows a 16-cent drop per gallon to an average of $2.84. The Saginaw-Bay City-Midland area is enjoying the lowest prices in the state at $2.76, while Marquette drivers are paying the highest prices at $2.91. Prices locally in the Benton Harbor-St. Joe area are averaging $2.87 according to Triple-A, while GasBuddy spotters put the average in South Haven much lower at $2.63. The national average is $2.60 per gallon.
