Two Weather Events Harmed MI Grape Crop In 2015 Says Farm Bureau

The Michigan Farm Bureau says that weather problems this year have led to a wine grape crop that’s high in quality, but down in quantity. Horticulture Specialist Kevin Robson says there have been two main weather events throughout the year to have hurt grape growers.

The Farm Bureau says that the quality of the grapes is strong, but the quantity this year has suffered. He says that the northwest area of the state, round Traverse City, suffered the most this year from the harsh weather in August. He says they’re down to about ten percent.
