It’s almost time once again for the Berrien County Youth Fair. To be held next week at the expo center in Berrien Springs, the event will feature a wide variety of exhibits and entertainers through Saturday, says Executive Director Karen Klug. They’ll be from young people from all over the county.

One thing you won’t see is chickens, though. That’s because the state’s banned poultry displays at fairs this year due to concerns over avian flu. Klug says that many of the kids simply adjusted.

Still, there will be opportunities for displays regarding chickens. They just can’t have any actual chickens in them. In addition to all the animals, they’re have live music, tractor pulls, and all the usual fair attractions. The fair runs Monday through Saturday, and you can find the full schedule at BCYF.org .
