This weekend will bring a chance for everyone in the Saint Joseph area to help raise money in the fight against Alzheimer’s. The 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, held by the Alzheimer’s Association, takes place Saturday starting at the Silver Beach Carousel. Walk Manager Kristin Burt says that similar events are being held this month and next month all across the country as the Alzheimer’s Association’s main fundraiser for the year. It helps run all of the organization’s programs.
Burt says that the fundraising goal for the Saint Joseph event is 36 thousand dollars, of which they’ve raised about 17 thousand so far. The event on Saturday kicks off with an opening ceremony at 8:45 AM. You can find out about signing up at the below URL.
