In Plainwell, her neighbors feel they’ve been cheated by a family values-touting, Tea Party-backed conservative.

Gamrat has been having an affair with fellow Courser, and it was exposed by “The Detroit News” on Friday. The newspaper released recordings of Courser trying to get an aide on his state payroll to cover up the fling. WSJM News has reached out to Gamrat for comment, and our call has not been returned. In a Facebook post, Courser says he will try to have a response to the controversy today. Congresswoman Candice Miller has called for Courser to resign, and state House Speaker Kevin Cotter is asking for an investigation into the affair and alleged cover-up.
