The 21-year-old Cassopolis man who was seriously injured Friday morning when he jumped out of a moving car has died from his injuries. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department tells us they are still investigating the situation which resulted in the death of Drake Brewer. He jumped out of the car during an argument with 20-year-old Abigail Smith of Niles along M-51 in Pokagon Township. Alcohol was not involved. There is no word on what Brewer and Smith were fighting about. He was airlifted from Borgess Lee Hospital in Dowagiac to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, where he later died.
