A Howard Township woman acted quickly in a scary situation in her home on Sunday. According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, she woke up at 4 a.m. to find a man in her bedroom. He had gotten in through a bathroom window, and she kicked him to get him to leave. The 32-year-old Dowagiac man went out the same way he came in, but is accused of grabbing some personal hygiene items on the way out. Police found him a short distance away, sleeping in his car. The items taken from the bathroom were also recovered. He’s in the Cass County Jail awaiting arraignment.
